From a Gator1 post in the first page
“In the MC post, OB called him on it. Said Ya, and when I go from MC to CC I see the same level of improvement in driving as you saw when you went from CP to MC......BAM, post removed, OB is banned.”

@#204....can you translate the meaning or point?  I'm not following.
I thought JH liked both CP and MC.

He means that OB said Correct Craft drives that much better than a MasterCraft.  The CP stands for Carbon Pro.

Don't be disrespectin the folks that advertise...that makes people a little touchy.

OB contributed to that site being fun and interesting. I’m a little late to the party, but that pisses me off. I own and love my Prostar, but it does not track like a CC. Everyone knows that. The slalom wake is arguably better, but tracking has always been the CC claim to fame.
So, get banned for stating the obvious. That’s BS John

He liked CP, then MC came a calling, now he prefers them.  He's also all of a sudden not a promo guy but wants to act like one, and stands up for the inefficiencies of the manufacturers in general, as to not ruffle their paying feathers.  The site is becoming a recycle of the same topics, even literally brought back from years ago, by the same people, and half don't even really participate in their local ski communities.

You guys just wait. My next product unboxing is going to be with the GOODE bubble buoys. Personally, I’ve never used them (thought they were crap), but Dave promised me 10k if I did a little unboxing. I’ll be hammered from my kilo kai, but be sure to tune in.

I don't want to turn this into a boat debate but the new MC has noting going for it from the drivers seat. The steering is terrible and compared to the Nautique 200 or even the 196 its not in the same zip code when it comes to tracking. You can't seriously push the MC with a straight face - sorry MC fans but there is still work to be done.

We've got one on our lake, and although it's not as easy to drive as the 196/200, it's easy enough for a good driver to keep straight during shortline.  It just takes a little more seat time to get used to it. It requires more input.  The amenities of the boat and design layout is really nice with the walk thru, ski rack, etc. The styling is nice too.
Overall, i think they did a nice job.

I'm a Nautique guy 100% but the "new" (2014-) MC is a great boat to ski behind.  It drives different than a 200/196 but a good driver won't have a problem taking a skier into the skier's PB range no matter the level.

Point being, all 3 Boats are Great. I'm a CC200 owner, but have never seen a time when all the Big 3 had such great boats, all at the same time. I have no fear, going to a Tournament, as to which boat I may ski behind, there all good. We should feel really fortunate that these manufacturers have invested so much in our very small industry, to provide us with such great equipment.

Reply with quote  #220
I'd say the Malibu's delayed pick-up in regards to jump makes it significantly inferior for the event, especially on smaller lakes, and should have been considered more when having it pull 35mph divisions at major competitions.  Hopefully they have remedied the cause or whatever needs to make it not delay.  These are the types of things I would hope boat tests ACTUALLY discover and educate/notify the membership of, not word of mouth through the grapevine.

You caught my hint. They all are great. I went with the 'bu years ago mostly for the interior design, although I still think it's slalom wake is the best of all of them.

If it had 600hp it would be the best jump boat too, lol.

Regina's is the only one I know of too. Maybe Chris Parrish awhile ago? Kristi Overton maybe?

They really are great slalom machines though.

Because no one wants to put something that fugly on their website. That thing is hideous, from every angle. Went from being the best looking boat in the industry to the ugliest, in one model. Everything about it looks terrible. Got caught up in the race for trendy. Damn thing looks like a 70’s trihull. Fugly

it looks better than that new Malibu. The wood color seadek everywhere is awful.

Still it is so clear Horton has some kind of bone to pick with Nautique. He's a passive aggressive douche

Reading this thread is hilarious... the level of immaturity by what I assume to be grown adults is laughable. BOS is a business and it can be run however Horton likes. Clearly a lot of people who post on this thread are purely uneducated about the skiing community. It’s like reading posts from a bunch of 12 year olds whose dad skis... they might know the names of the boat companies & the ski companies but that’s about it. I would love to know the average buoy count of people who typically post on here, the arrogance level says “I run 43 every set. The actual amount of info on the site that is actually correct says most of you can’t run 28 mph LL (that means long line, which is the rope at a full 75 foot length)

Only real short line skiers do have a valid opinion?

BOS has a policy about your tournament buoy count = how much you know and what topics you can comment on based on your scores.

You do not have to have a high buoy count to have a valid opinion. But you do have to know what you’re talking about which judging by MANY threads on this website (Radar Vapor, MC vs CC, this) there is clearly a lack of fundamental understanding about a variety of topics of our sport. I mean some of this is silly laughable.. I read that an HO never had a 41 off run?? Do any of you know Will Asher?? JT? Wade cox?

This website is cancer, it needs to be shut down.

I wish some of you would mouth off like this at a tournament at my site. It would be a long time before you skied in an AWSA event again

Wow. I don't knock much of anything on this site, but just read your crap.  So , you think you're so important that you can stop people from entering tourneys for something they say? You're a dick.
Why would you even post arguments against these guys? Anyone reading is smart enough to know when someone has a beef against a certain company or website.  And Skifly is certainly needed in this world of thought control that you'd like to have. Here's an idea, get the hell off Skifly, and get back to your completely private ski site, and keep telling everyone that doesn't know better that you run 39...dick.

I don’t run 39. The issue with this site, is that people who know NOTHING can say what they want, completely anonymously and someone who might not know just how big of morons are on this site will be influenced bc they think you guys actually know the difference between a trick ski & a slalom. Which half of you guys seem not to. This post isn’t going to change anything. People are going to post on here, not knowing shit, purely to stroke their own egos.. sad really.

It doesn’t matter if a ski company doesn’t have a 41. You won’t have one weather they have one or not. Has the ski run 39? Yes. Can you run 39? Probably not. It’s above your abilities

When your on the edge of your ability and chasing buoys you want the ski that is going to take you as far as possible. Its obvious there are skis on the market that are very good at this such as D3 and Goode. Radar does not fall into that category with the Vapor. The -41 stats pretty much confirms the fact. Put J-Mac on a D3 and he's getting down -41 I say.

According to Radar‘s FB page Aaron Larkin ran -41 on a Radar Vapor pro built just today.

Look, it's pretty clear there's a guy or 2 on here that hates Radar or some of the people at Radar. So dude, give it a rest. There's a bunch of good skis out on the market. Pick one that helps you ski your best.

And yeah, if Aaron ran 41 on it in tourney, it's "good" skiing. Gee, thanks for the compliment that only 3 others have ever done. Now, stfu.
