What is the purpose for the holes in side aprons?  Do you need them?

The holes absorb some of the wake energy thereby reducing turbulent water, and reduce some amount of weight, making them a bit easier to handle out of the water.

The holes are to reduce backwash, nothing more.

Old jump is correct for sure!!! Make sure you have them high enough above the water line that when a wake comes the wake is able to go through the holes and go deep enough into the water that the wake travels through the holes under the water too.  Good luck!

I would imagine it would be harder on the curtains if they don't have holes.
