Amy and I will be attending the Nationals in Bakersfield in support of Bama. I will also have a few trick ski's for sale at reduced prices for college skiers. Look me up if you are interested. Good luck to all the teams that qualified both D1 and 2. It looks like another banner year for ULM It's significant to see the university is still interested in supporting these great atheletes, and continuing the heritage. Roll Tide.................. |

I'm growing a bit tired of the "foreigner" take w/ Alabama. ASU, Rollins, ULL, FSC and probably several more teams have student athletes from outside the USA. That's a tribute to the school's efforts to attract prospective students. I'm certain Alabama has foreign students on some of their athletic teams (tennis, track, etc). I'm confident they chose Alabama for the opportunity to be successful on the field AND in the classroom. Good for them. Let's cease the practice of selective indignation - it is rarely a successful endeavor. |

Reply with quote | #7 | At least they compete for their schools, unlike some foreigners who just "train". |

Reply with quote | #12 | ULM skiers volunteered and worked hard to judge - D2 tricks could not have happened without ULM. These are great kids - both the foreigners and the Americans. Congratulations and thanks.Congratulations to all the skiers there. There is hope for the world after watching the talent, enthusiasm and character of these kids. Eric |

Reply with quote | #15 | Congratulations also to Chico for winning the spirit award!I guess those BAD red speedos factored more than those excellent GER bikinis of Madison. It was a good competition for the spirit award. Gail is worried about the noise complaints from all the cheering. Eric |

Cal Poly and Amanda Wilson did an awesome job with the Nats. The site was great for skiing, the atmosphere was great, they kept everything moving pretty well all 3 days.(even with a few little tech issues that were handled pretty quick). Weather was nice for late October, sun and no wind, but that's Bakersfield for yeah. Everyone had pretty much the same skiing conditions. Saw some phenomenal performances and ALOT of school spirit. Congrats to ULM and Wisc. for their victories in Div.1 and Div. 2. Great job BAMA on your strong runner up position. ROLL TIDE!!! |
