Gee if Billy misses his gates, " better luck next time", but if your boy Willy misses his gates lets spend 10 minutes about how this does not happen to a World Champion. Shame on those who have tried to cover this up or think it is acceptable for a winner to do. This is an embarrassment. Lets teach our kids that it is okay to act this way after winning any water ski competition. Better yet, what about the other two skiers on the podium? They do not have a photo posted anywhere for their accomplishment. I'll bet they are thinking it is funny and feel great about it. This incident helps us appreciate the true water ski champions. Those are who we need to recognize and support. |

you also do not get paid to ski at nationals but you do get paid to skis at the WC!

Everyone who is bashing on Nick needs to get a life! I have seen him drink and he can control himself when he needs to, so even if he was drunk, he would have still made it up there! and you mean to tell me you've never gotten drunk after a tournament was over? I have been to many ski tournaments and the first thing skiers do is crack open a beer after the tournament is over....
the main point is: he won...

Maybe you are right!!! And going to the nationals is a huge expense for many and still don't show up. For whatever reason
those that do and those that don't miss an opportunity to reap a moment of glory. So let's hang those people that miss their opportunity!! The Hell with WHY!!! They are bad for the sport!! We can only have obedient skier that will only serve IWWF and not dis our world wide sport. LONG LIVE THE KING
