Trade war- I'm not sure how you think you're going to get on even footing with China without getting a little tough. President Trump is certainly friendly with China as he knows how important they are. We will come out of the negotiations in a much better position. The fact that you can't build enough boats to keep up with demand tells me that Correct Craft is not hurting too much.

Immigration--as you mention, the economy is growing at a pretty good clip. We do have over 1 million immigrants enter the United States every year.....LEGALLY.  We would , however, like to know just who they are, and do a little background check on them to see if maybe they're wanted for any crimes in their own country first.

Deficit- sorry, ain't got an answer for you here...but i do like my tax cut!  ...but...meh..ok agree.

Future Focus- agree!

Oh Dan, If Obama started a trade war with China you know damn well you pubcons would be shitting up a lung. Also, you seemed to gloss over the fact in the letter that we need to strengthen our trade with Asia, which is what the TPP was supposed to do. But Drumpf pulled us out of the TPP and has DONE NOTHING to replace it. Now China will for sure dominate the Asian market.

Your typical low IQ republicon gibberish is so blatant. Maybe you could just learn to shut your mouth and spare us your ignorance on the issues.

I mean if you think Drumpf is doing a good job, you're a delusional douche canoe.

Oh yes, the TPP was such a good deal for us! Couldn't even get congress to ratify it (of course, they don'tdoshiaaat anymore).  I'm sure it would have worked great, if you could trust some of main participants as far as you could throw them. (China infringes on patents all the time! Intellectual protections..please!)

He doesn't have to do everything perfect. No pres ever does. But i'm tired of all those afflicted with TDS thinking all their problems should be solved by the pres in 12 months. It's his turn to do some dealing.

and one more thing...you lost!suckit!

If you want a wall ,pay Mexico to build it ,way cheaper & they would love the $$ & seeing as a wall really does not stop people who really want to cross a border ,they won't really care 😉

Brent, that is the dumbest statement you can make.  "the wall won't stop anyone"...how stupid. Of course it does. Sure, once in a blue moon someone gets a tiny tunnel through that a few cross....it's why 100's of miles of wall exist already.
Should we just remove the wall along the Cali/mex border. You're a moron democrat in the making. Stay in Canada.

Actually, the vast majority of illegal immigrants and illegal drugs come through ports of entry. People overstaying their tourist or student visas are not trekking over mountains and through deserts in the middle of the night. And drugs are smuggled in through shipping containers, diesel trucks, passenger airplanes, etc.

That's why this wall is so stupid. It's a huge boondoggle and waste of taxpayers money that will not even make a dent in illegal immigration or drugs. Trump just wants his vanity project. Hell, he even said during the campaign he might put his name on it. He first wanted a 30-foot wall but then when people derided him he said "maybe I'll make it a 40-foot wall." There is no science behind the thing, no real look at the issues. Just a guy who wants to save face. Sorry, but that's not worth my tax dollars to me.

As a Republican Congressman from Texas recently said, a wall is a 3rd century solution for a 21st century problem.

Sadly, that is basically how Trump also responds when his "gut" isn't supported by reality. Enjoy your boondoggle taxpayer.

Dems only hate the wall "now" because Trump took up the cause. You're so full of shiaat. Maybe we should just pull it down because it's such a nuisance. Go F yourself. We will get more wall, and more security. Dems have lost their minds, they are so riddled withTDS, they can think straight.
To tell us that walls/fencing don't work is just stupid. Of course they do! Are they impenetrable, of course not.  Everything from countries to prisons, to nice neighborhoods, to all military installations have walls , oh my god the list goes on and on.  BUT , because Trump now champions it, it's all wrong. FU to all the Dems--i'll never vote for one again. The entire political scene sucks for common sense!
The wall/fence/barrier will get bigger and bigger, and if congress won't pay, it's going to get National emergency funding.  Dems will take it to court, and it'll get expedited in front of the Supreme court within a year....and guess what? you lose at least 5-4 so suckit.

Trump had both the house & senate for his 1st 2years in office ,why didn't he get the wall funded then ,oh maybe because it is a waste of tax payer money & he couldn't get his own party to support it ? Now that the Dems have the house it's an emergency to fund the wall ,come on ,it's just a political pissing contest .

Best SOTU speech i've ever heard (except the one right after 9/11)!  Most sincere, well thought out , meaningful, and hopefully productive...
It cracked me up to watch the Dems hear something and look to the wicked wicked witch to see if they should stay stonefaced, half clap, full clap, or stand and clap.

The Mueller report has been handed in but no one knows what it says yet, you Guys are saying it vindicates Trump ? Maybe you are listening to too much 24hr news instead of waiting to see what it says , pretty premature celebration of a victory . A bunch of people that were part of the Trump campaign went to jail ,hence validating the scrutinization by Mueller . $50 million to fight infiltration by a foreign government is very cheap by Department of defence standards ,which btw has very little oversight on how it spends billions every year ,just to give a little perspective.

Forget the political spin factories & let's see what the Mueller reports conclusions are before running victory laps & name calling .

@Funny... I can tell you exactly what the Dems will do.."INVESTIGATE-INVESTIGATE-INVESTIGATE."
Legislation is out of the question for them....Jerry Nadler and Adam "Shifty" Schiff have already announced that they are going after everything Trump and His Family have done since kindergarten.
Along with Wacked Out, Maxine Waters, they have one Goal...IMPEACHMENT.

Yea, lets impeach Trump for getting rid of all the Obama Regulations and giving us the best economy ever. Then there is getting rid of ISIS, that Obama gave us for pulling all the troops out.
Also lowest unemployment rate for Blacks, Hispanics, and Women.
Ooh, lets not forget Energy Independence for the first time ever, and approving all the pipelines that Hillary would have done away with, so we now would have $10.00 gas instead of $2.00 something.

So what are the Left Wing Dem's proposing...Great things like Medicare for all. Doing away with ICE. Even tearing down Border Walls, like Beto wants.

Then there is the crowning jewel...The GREEN NEW DEAL !!!  Eliminating Cars, Planes, and even "COWS." If we don't do that the Planet ends in 12 years..Yea, just like when Al Gore told us over 15 years ago, that we would all be under water here in Florida because all the Ice Caps were melting and the Polar Bears dying...TOTAL BS !!!

Global Warming turned out to not be true, so they changed it to Climate Change...Can't go wrong with that because the Climate is always changing. Has been for millions of years. Nothing but a big power play !!!

Thank God for Trump, or our we would still have ISIS, energy prices through the roof, a tanking economy, since Hillary's goal was "GLOBALIZATION."

The weather and general climate of the earth is powered by heat. So more heat input, it stokes the pumping system.

Therefore we are already seeing more extreme weather that will continue on that trend. You have to be a complete idiot not to see that it's happening.

So the wording is changed to help the masses, who are having a hard time connecting dots, appreciate what is going on.

Extreme rain, drought, cold, heat, wind, fire, snow - you name it. And it will get worse.

I am not sure our house will be standing in 10-15 years. Summers are getting sooo dry, my fear is all the wood around here will go up in flames.

Necessity is the mother of all invention. When a problem is completely apparent, we will find a way to fix it. Right now, (if it's truly happening, or truly being caused by us--many factors could cause warming) it's not affecting enough of us to give that much of a shiat.  When/if it does, we'll fix it.

It's not my fault you guys can't connect dots. I'll give you a little test - take the newspaper Jumble - if you can solve that in less than say 5 minutes, you are a good candidate to comprehend climate change. If you can't, well you have some schooling to do.  Your problem, not mine.

@Daverobbbins -what kind of selfish dribble is that? A lot of people will be wiped out by storms, sea level rise and fires and you are fretting about ice on your windshield in Maine? Well guess what -fret to hell because your winters are going to get ruthless.

Water - you know like stuff we ski on, will be the world's most valuable commodity. Mark my words.

Let's talk energy, oil and gas. I did speak to the CEO/management of one of North America's largest oil co.'s.   The biggest problem is global inventory of fuel burning machines and us.
Not the oil companies or pipelines, they are just filling the demand.

Fuel prices need to go up, way up. It's way too cheap to burn and blow off exhaust without a care. Commuting long distances, daily is bonkers too.  It will take years to reconfigure.

@inventor what are going to invent? A friggin' survival suit? It's too late, that big pump called the weather is already in overdrive in a +ve feedback loop.  We're cooked.

Yes. When it becomes a major problem, we'll adapt to fix. Probably not in our lifetimes.
Hopefully one of those volcanoes doesn't have a major eruption, or yellowstone cauldron explodes, etc.....we should do something about those right now too! We've only got 12 years left!

Concept of global inventory:  If the device is already manufactured it will be used by someone until it goes to landfill  or gets left to rot somewhere (boats are bad for that...). So why personalize that? Ski it!

Buying New: This is the only area where a person can effect change. The choices on new purchase or demand/ask.  The auto industry really spun out of control, but engineers are reeling that in and doing well for it.    PCM needs to build a s/c or turbo 4 or 6. Hull surfaces need to be reduced and using of underwater appliance for great efficiency. It's going the wrong way, design wise.  This is were someone with a brain in the boat industry could disrupt, but apparently that is lacking.

DO the calc: It actually takes less fuel to water-ski, than to go surfing, down-hill skiing or for a hike up a mountain. Why? All involve driving distance to a destination. Ski lifts take energy too.

So the boat isn't too bad, per gallon of fun.
